Iraqi Canadian association of Hamilton

The inception of the Iraqi-Canadian Association of Hamilton (ICAH) dates back to 2004, when members of the Hamilton community of Iraqi descent formally came together to establish a social-cultural non-profit organization. Its primary objective is to represent the collective interests of the Iraqi population residing in the Hamilton area.

The Board of Directors of ICAH comprises dedicated volunteers of Iraqi heritage, carefully chosen to reflect the diverse composition of the Iraqi-Canadian community.

Over the past 25 years, the Iraqi immigrant community in Canada has experienced significant growth. Many Iraqi Canadians demonstrate a solid inclination to preserve their cultural heritage and values, embracing their Canadian identity and adopting positive local customs.

ICAH is a prominent community that promotes Iraqi culture and traditions to the broader Canadian public. Furthermore, ICAH actively encourages the Iraqi-Canadian community in Hamilton to participate in various cultural and community initiatives, fostering a sense of unity and pride in their Canadian identity.
